Hello from the Office of Beckie Staley, Crawford County Clerk/Recorder. It is the goal of all of us at the Clerk/Recorder’s Office to provide the Citizens of Crawford County with prompt, courteous and efficient service.

The County Clerk/Recorder is responsible for vital records (births, death and marriages), recording of real estate documents, elections and voter registration, real estate tax extension and redemption, and accounts payable and payroll. Marriage License

To obtain a marriage license both parties must be 18 yrs of age or older or have parental consent. To Obtain a Civil Union License (effective June 1, 2011), the same information is required as a Marriage License.
THE MARRIAGE LICENSE MUST BE OBTAINED IN THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY CLERK. THE MARRIAGE LICENSE IS ONLY VALID IN THE COUNTY WHERE THE LICENSE IS ISSUED.
  • The license is valid the following day.
  • The cost is $65.00 (Sixty Five Dollars)
  • A photo id or birth certificate is required for proof of age.
  • Both parties must be present.
